What's happening: January 2012 Sunday Services: We meet in the Stan Hagen Theatre (North Island College) each Sunday 9:15 am for Contemporary Worship & 11 am for Traditional Worship Services Sunday school dismisses from the Contemporary service at approximately 9:40 am. Tuesdays: Lunch Bunch Bible Study meets each Tuesday at 12 noon at the church office. Bring a bag lunch (coffee & tea provided) & then study begins at 1 pm. Tuesdays: Prayer Meeting in the church office 6-7pm. Wednesdays: Men's Breakfast 7am at the Early Bird Cafe on 4th Street, Courtenay. Wednesday mornings & Thursday evenings: Ladies Bible Study group meets in a home. "Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit" by Beth Moore is their study. Sunday, Jan. 15: The ACTS BILD Course will begin (in Jake's home). This is a first year Bible College Course; you may come & take it casually (no cost) or you may enroll as a student to receive credit which may be transferable to Bible College (with cost of tuition + text book). "Spontaneous Combustion" - How the Spirit Turns Cities Upside Down & What Part You Play In It. Friday is Youth Night with Dan; 7pm in the Church Office; Saturday Morning (8:30am at Bay Community Church, Pritchard Ave, Comox) a Continental Breakfast with the topic: "Stoking the Embers: What we can learn from the Jerusalem Church about how to stoke the embers of the Spirit's flame." Saturday Evening (5:30pm at Bay Community Church) a Dinner with the topic: "Spontaneous Combustion: What we can learn from the Samaritan & Antioch churches about following the path the Spirit blazes. Sunday Morning at the Stan Hagen Theatre at 10:30am (a combined service) the topic: "Strategic Burning: What we can learn from Paul's Mission to the Galatians about planning that doesn't quench the Spirit's flame.
